Support
AJ Tapes is a free, independent app for listening to the Aadam Jacobs Collection — live recordings preserved on Archive.org — on Apple TV and iPhone.
One-person operation — you're writing to the developer. Replies usually within a business day or two; urgent removal and privacy requests are handled first.
Helpful to include: your device (Apple TV / iPhone model), the show's artist & date, and what happened.
01A show won't play
The audio streams directly from Archive.org, and items there occasionally become temporarily or permanently unavailable. If a show errors or skips, it's usually the source item — email the artist and date and we'll check the source and the catalog on our end.
02Favorites aren't syncing
Favorites sync through your own iCloud account, not our servers. Make sure both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud enabled for AJ Tapes. Sync is handled by Apple and can take a few minutes to propagate.
03Wrong titles, dates, or artwork
The catalog is built from Archive.org metadata and then hand-maintained. Typos, misfiled shows, and missing track titles do slip through — reports of specific shows are genuinely useful and usually fixed in the next catalog pass.
04Artists, tapers & rights holders
If you're connected to a recording and want it removed from AJ Tapes, email us. Credible requests are honored promptly — the recording is hidden from the app and excluded from future catalog updates, typically the same business day. Note that the recording itself is hosted by Archive.org, so removal from the source archive must be requested with archive.org directly.
05Where the music comes from
Every recording is part of the Aadam Jacobs Collection at the Internet Archive. AJ Tapes hosts no audio — it's a listening room built on top of the archive, with respect and gratitude to the tapers and to Archive.org.
06Cost & privacy
The app is free — no purchases, no subscriptions, no ads. There are no accounts and no tracking; the details live in the privacy policy.
